Maitake Mushroom

The maitake mushroom is a an interesting looking fungi.  I recently went into the snowy mountains of Japan to visit the company that first discovered how to grow Maitake mushrooms indoors.

I took a few pictures:

Holding a living Maitake Mushroom, still growing on the substrate block

In this photo I am about to harvest this Maitake mushroom, which is bigger than my head.
The white part is the mycelium (roots) of the mushroom totally grown over a trade secret mix of wood chips, sawdust and other food-stuffs that are devoured by Maitake mycelium.
This was really fun for me because I have tried to grow Maitake mushrooms myself in a similar manner. But they alwasy just turned into something looking like a small brain. And never grew to their full mature size.
The worker gave me some plastic gloves and informed me (in Japanese) to grab underneath the mushroom and gently rock it back and forth while pulling up. I could feel a tearing of tissue sensation and then the whole thing popped up.
This nex photo is the AFTER shot:

I just picked this massive Maitake mushroom and I'm so proud of my new baby (the mushroom)

Here you can see that it is removed from the block.
I bought this one for about $10 and took it home. We were eating Maitake recipes for the next three days.
Guaranteed we got our beta glucan optimal doses on those days icon smile Maitake Mushroom
Any other mushroom geeks out there can probably guess how fun an event this was for me.
And for non-geeks, the flavor was delicious!

Best Maitake Extract

How to find the best Maitake extract.

Learn how cancer patients are using the best Maitake extract to boost their immune system naturally.

Countless cancer patients are concerned about the immune system injury that occurs from popular cancer therapies such as chemotherapy and also radiation.  We are concerned with varieties of chemotherapy that are recognized to harm the stem cells inside our bones, called bone marrow.

Our bone marrow is where our white blood cells are made.  When those new white blood cells grow up, they transform into a variety of specialty immune cells. And those immune cells are what keep us from catching the cold, coming down with the flu and even help to regulate and eradicate abnormal cells which occur within us.

For healthy people, they may not need to keep their mind on their immune health.  That’s because healthy people have an immune system, like a well lubed engine, that keeps on finding and taking out foreign invaders and strange cells on its own.

Yet all those with cancer, have to live in a different reality.  For those people, a problem with extreme immune cell suppression may be a serious issue in their life.

When taking heavy cancer treatments we have to sustain the number of white blood cells high enough to not become infected because it can be critical.  Types of fungal infections may also overwhelm whole areas of the body on the skin or internally.  Things like the flu have the capacity to put people with cancer with a reduced Number pf white blood cells into emergency situations.  Also a big threat are the antibiotic resistant bacteria that lurk in each hospital.

And that is why those with cancer must activate the immune system and shield it as well as possible. How so can we save and improve our immune system?

This report will reveal the answer that many have been waiting for.

But before the answer is revealed I’d like to cover another point first.  First let’s introduce the immune cell named the Macrophage.  These Macrophage cells remind me of amoebas, with arms reaching out and consuming everything in their way.  Another major function of Macrophage is sending signals to other attack immune cells.  Only a specific kind of molecule can bind to the macrophage’s outside receptors. When the receptor is bound, it emits a signal which starts a series of events that cause the activation of aggressive cells such as Nk natural killer cells and Killer T cells.

It’s like a bio software that only gets activated if a special password is given. Macrophages need the password to start the immune’s cascade of events to attain optimum activation.

Exactly what’s the compound that allows the immune’s activation? The key to immune modulation is located within the cell walls of a certain sort of mushroom.  It’s known as Maitake and within it is an original type of beta-glucan.

Maitake is a delicious edible mushroom.  The smell, deep flavor and recognizable shape of the Maitake make it unique and an essential ingredient in good restaurants.  On top of that, it contains the activation key for our immune system defenses.
It’s a 1,3 connection beta-glucan that has 1, 6 connected branches.  This beta-glucan is unlike any other1, 3 1, 6 beta glucans because of its enormous molecular size, unique degree of 1, 6 branching, and helical shape. When taken orally, it gets absorbed into the body and then found by macrophages, via the receptors mentioned earlier.

Now let’s talk about how to pick the best Maitake extract, that has the ability to deliver the immune support that you need. You’ll find many types of Maitake fractions for sale on the market.  By comparing the scientific literature with the existing Maitake products for sale, I discovered that pretty much all of them are seriously lacking on some essential factors.

The immune boosting effects of the Maitake mushroom was discovered in Kobe, Japan by the well-known scientist, Dr. Hiroaki Nanba.  Professor Nanba and his group of researchers published scientific papers for over a decade showing the fantastic effects on immune response for use by people with cancer.

They have found that taking Maitake extract at the same time as cancer treatments like Chemo improves the effectiveness of the chemotherapy, while lowering negative side effects.  Those are double the positive effects for any person struggling with cancer.  As we said earlier, studies from America have also showed bone marrow to be guarded from chemo drug harm. Clearly the research evidence is impressive and the mechanism is becoming clearer.

An important point is the patent Professor Nanba certified in both America and japan, in order to safeguard his discovery so no person could compromise its purity and  You need to know about Professor Nanba’s registered patent on his discovered extract, to guarantee that others don’t modify or make a poor quality version of it. No matter whichever extract or fraction you choose, make certain it is protected by Patent #5,854,404.

Actually the fact is, Dr. Nanba’s clinically confirmed Extract is only manufactured in Japan and only by one producer.  The quality control and safety testing is the highest.  Trust nothing other than the original and registered Maitake mushroom extract that has printed the Patent # 5,854,404 clearly on the container or bottle.  It’s the one with clinical proof and a long time history of scientific studies published in peer-reviewed journals.

An additional concern must be covered before considering which product you are going to purchase.  The daily dose must in the quantity set by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), which is one of America’s premier cancer research centers.  Mskcc completed and published a Phase I/II clinical cancer trial on female breast cancer patients who had completed their cancer treatments.  The aim of the study was to discover the best dose of this patent protected Maitake extract to take each day and to confirm its safety.

The clinical trial uncovered the optimal dose for enhancing immune response. And it begins from 5mg extract for each kg of body weight.  For instance a person who weighs 50 kilograms should have 5 milligrams per kg, so 5 x 50= 250mg per day as their optimum dose for enhancing your immune system activity.

Thus far, we now understand which Maitake mushroom extract is authentic, true and proven one on the market. Also we know the optimal dose to ingest (5mg per kg), as discovered by major American cancer research.  Now for the last important step, finding which companies can actually provide patented # 5,854,404 products at the correct amount of 5 mg per kilogram of our weight.

I checked out every Maitake product to choose from and ended up extremely disappointed!  There wasn’t a company offers a product with these two key points of Professor Nanba’s patent at the correct dose.

I repeat, not a single company sold the optimal dose.

 Why?

My curiosity was heightened to understand the reason there isn’t even one product that would be thought to be effective.  Really, I was steaming mad that all these companies were saying to help immune system activity but only provided a very little fraction of the dose proven by science in human research trials.

I guess anyone would be a bit shocked and upset to uncover this fact out as well.

If it were you, could you imagine dealing weak supplements to cancer patients who depend on you for immune stimulation and protection? It’s life or death.  Cancer patients depend on a supported immune system for their treatment’s success.

To get to the real answer, I actually took a journey to the snowy mountains in the middle of snow country Japan to meet with the single company that produces this extract. After this rare visit, I got the reason why there was no other company who could sell the correct concentration.  I signed a legal contract to keep the secrets and privacy of those details, so I can’t tell you the entire story.

But here is the core problem.

The special patented mushroom extract is extremely pricey. No company can afford to put the required number of milligrams into a single dose.  Now you know.  We’ve solved the reasoning behind why the right dose didn’t exist but haven’t solved the problem.
Now I had a sense of personal responsibility to support each of the cancer sufferers who have been desperately searching for an effective immune support supplement but could only get low dose Maitake supplements.  I made a decision to go against what every other supplement company was doing. The decision was to be the first company to offer Maitake mushroom extract at the correct amount to the those who required it most.

I understand that the competition makes much more money than I do considering they only supply a tiny dose while I pay for the required number of milligrams for my customers. I’m not worried because I know that people who do take the best daily dose from me, will likely have much better benefits and happily continue as long as they want.

Now tell me, which is better for you, a measly number of overpriced milligrams or the actual amount that has been proven in multiple scientific studies as being the most effective for activating the immune system?

The name of the best Maitake extract is Maitake QOL Extract.
